Hey all,

To make a long story really short( I mean it, not just saying that), i had this situation from years ago that still sticks with me this very day.

To explain this situation, when i was 17-18 i went to tutoring to help me with math. I had a tutor that i really got to know because my tutor sessions were really long and i was also home schooled at the time, so i had no friends or no one around me besides her.

So, as i got to work with her, she was really polite and friendly to me. she and her husband, who ere the tutors, would tutor me until it was just her who would teach me, as time passed, she would ask me if i wanted to go to coffee shops with her or go out tp eat with her a couple times. She would tell me things about her life like how she was married two times before and how her past husband would abuse he and she would get really detailed with it, like she would say he punched her teeth out. then pne day as i walked into tutoring sessions, she walked over to me and started crying in front of me and saying that her husband( the other tutuor was cheeting on her because of some facebook post. and so i really got to ike her a s a friend( that's all) but this went on for 5 months and she would cry i front of me a couple more times? is this appropriate? why did she tell me all of this stuff? i was only 18 years old at the time and she was like 38.

NO, it's not appropriate...at all.
I wouldn't say she's "into" you though....she's just using you as a convenient sounding board...She shouldn't have cause it's sure not a very professional thing to do to someone who's 20 years younger, a student of hers, and (most likely) not at all interested in her life's escapades.
