Anyone else do this? I've found it is sort of hypnotic & induces calm & centeredness, as in meditation -- but I can't seem to meditate -- yet listening to this while surfing net or doing work it helps alot. Anyone feel same?

I listen to Liquid Mind music at work, to fall asleep, as I wake up & to relax. I love it's calming benefit.

Meditation isn't my thing, but I dig ambient new age trancey spacey music, tracks with no vocals that go on for 10 or 20 mins. Is great to draw (work on my art) to.
And I do believe that music can have positive physiological benefits for a person, though each person's gonna' have his/her own individual tastes/preferred listening.

Totally agree & each is own. I also go techno too, but prefer trance as it more hypnotic & thus -- trancy or meditatively my thing. I guess I'm werid. LOL

Also many girls I know like it so can't go wrong w/ female company when in a downer mood, eh?

No I don't believe in it but I do listen to storm vids on youtube, thunder and rain. But I'm odd.

When Einstein visited Neils Bohrs house he saw a horseshoe over the door for good luck.
He said surely you don't beileve in that stuff.
Bohr said of course not but it seems to work.

I compose that trance type music, I wouldn't really call it music. Tends to lack a melody.

Is that trance? Dunno what they call stuff.
Is this?

I've been looking for some instrumental music for this reason, because I like a lot of different types of music, and usually have it on, to cover up all the background noise...but it seems the bass, or certain parts, stress me out, and I wish I could find the same music, but more "even" and "consistent", without the words.

Trance is great for relaxing.

Try "gong bath meditation" music (you can find videos online). It's really relaxing... you get absorbed with the vibrating sound of the gongs.

Ocean wave sounds, and falling rain CDs work for me too.
