I have had this discussion with my 100% Mexican girlfriend also. She has some Spanish heritage, but for the most part is simply Mexican with very, very light skin. She claims "white", but it seems how us gringo's are used to classifying people, that may not be possible? I really don't know. The second pic is as close to a tan as she gets (Vallarta Semana Santa vacation). I'll probably take this pics down after a bit as she may not approve of me posting these. Oops!
But for many americans if you are mexican you are kind of inferior race, even if you look white.
I really don't get it.
Yeah, that's kinda what I was getting at. The whole "classifying" of people just seems ridiculous. I understand it if you are robbed or something, it would be beneficial for description purposes, but besides that it just seems tacky.

I don't think people in the USA feel that way more than peoples in other countries, including, feel similarly about "others." I've never heard someone in the USA refer to Mexicans as an inferior race. I don't doubt some people feel that way, though. But they feel that way about the Irish, or the Polish or African-Americans, etc. Not all people are well educated. In Mexico I observe Mexicans express their prejudice against others in the country ... the indios or indigenoous, blacks, etc.
They certainly look strange, not Spanish, but they could be from Eastern Europe or Russia...
Hungary, Bulgaria, or from Caucasic or Asian republics with some slavic blood. I'm seeing a lot of women like that, kind of slavic mixed with mongoloids, tartars, uzbeks. They could be Americans, they certainly have their share of Slavics, Hungarians, etc.
If I were to guess, I'd say they are from the east (from somewhere between Hungaria and the Urals).
Lol interesting. Well imma be honest were not even Mexican I just wanted to see what people would say. I wanted to see if people would see "Mexicans" as just Mestizo's. When really my family is something very different. C;
Sorry for this little test. Am just really curious because always ask "Hey Alexa are you like Mexican or Latina?" Always! When am actually not Mexican!
So heres the truth my mom's Italian and my dad's Armenian, Spanish, and Greek. C;
Anyways, I assume your grand mother should have been a traveler with a bunch of boyfriends around the world (a seawoman).
