Ive heard that Monterrey is a great city. The most americanized in Mexico. Lots to do, rich in culture etc but that its also a bit expensive compared to other cities in Mexico as far as living, food, etc.than other smaller cities. But usually every city has its local stuff that due to its good supply, that is cheaper. Example in places where a certain fruit grows well you will find it really cheap when its in season where in areas that cant grow fruits they will usually always be more expensive. In Leon Guanajuato ive heard they make shoes and many people go buy them there and resale in other cities. So what are some of the inexpensive things in Monterrey? ( that might be more expensive elsewhere) it could be certain foods, clothing, accesories? What are they known for? Looking for things to buy and resale and simply travel and know whats good and cheap. Thanks for your responses in advance

Cabrito is probably among the best things its known for. Nothing is particularly cheap there, everyone heads to US border towns to shop every chance they get.

Mercado Mesón Estrella is cheap market for fruit and vegetables: https://www.google.com.mx/maps/place...757952cc3b9436

Mercado Juárez for restaurants, mexican food, even books! https://plus.google.com/102766604457...l=es-419&gl=mx

The two are just 2 blocks away and are in Monterrey Downtown.

Other place where you can find cheap things is in Colegio Civil Street, just south of Centro Cultural Universitario in Plaza Colegio Civil: https://www.google.com.mx/maps/place...a4a76056e8608f
