De Colores

YouTube - De Colores

It reminds me of the time I spent with the UFW in the '70s. Not quite Mexico, but certainly Hispanic. It really is fun to request that tune with the strolling musicians. Some of them really light up, a couple give me a blank stare, and most of them appreciate me singing along with them.

Huelga! LOL ahh the good old days

YouTube - Keith & Warren - 'South of the Border'

(I prefer the version sung by Chris Isaak on his Baja Sessions album, of course)

I always thought Gene Autry was the first cowboy to sing "Down south of the border...down Mexico way". in a cowboy flick.

Am I showing my age?

YouTube - Los caminos de la vida · Los Diablitos

Even though this one is not a Mexican song, I know many Mexicanos that identify themselves with this song whether in the US, thinking of their families in Mexico or living in Mexico and their day to day struggle.
