Hi Everyone,

I am moving to Miami in August for a job, I am super excited and nervous as well. I am looking to move to Aventura or Brickell area, preferably a 1/1 apartment under 1400, any condo suggestions?

What is the dating life like for a single, 24 year old woman? Can anyone provide me with any useful tips, advice, anything would be beneficial. Thank you!

Question Brickell or Aventura

At your age you might prefer the area of Brickell over Aventura as the latter tends to have residents over the median age of 50. But I don't know where you will be working. Brickell might be a better choice for you also if that is where you are working as it will be less of a drive for you. Traffic in Miami can be quite stressful. Aventura is a nice town, though, and one I was considering to move to. (I just turned 50 )
This site is a great resource to check the towns you mentioned. Do a search on both areas to get the info you need and good luck!

Choose Brickell or Downtown, for sure.

There's a listing in Met 1 for a 1/1 that's $1300 a month (this is Downtown, though)
Also one for $1450 at Skyline on Brickell

There are obviously others out there, that was just looking ultra quickly.

By living in either Brickell or Downtown (or the very edge of Midtown by Margarete Pace Park) you'll have access to both Metromover and Metrorail.

Metromover is convenient to get to different parts of the urban core of Miami (for example, going over from Brickell to Bayside Marketplace) and since Metromover connects to Metrorail, you can head down to Dadeland for the mall/big box/other restaurants and not have to fight traffic.

I think you would rather live in Brickell there are tons of young people who live there and "transplants" who come from all over the world

Thanks

And another word of caution, what I tell my own daughter who is about your age: Just be careful out there....
as you would be in any big city. Hope you find a nice place.
