Throughout Florida the love bugs are everywhere. However, in the Miami area they are nowhere to be found. Is there a particular reason for this?. I have a neighbor who has them infesting his home, I joke that's because it's so ugly it attracts flies. Even though my home does not attract them, I find them flying everywhere in my yard and collecting on the solar panels. On a drive back from Miami they start flying in Palm Beach county and cover my truck by the time I get home. With the smoky air and the bugs it's a strange experience.

I can't remember South Florida every having love bugs. I always saw it as a Central Florida/Orlando thing. Would love to know why we don't get them? Maybe because of the sea breeze???

Lovebugs are not seen in Miami because they are Americans and need a passport to enter Miami-Dade Country. LOL LOL LOL LOL

I'm in West Kendall and we had some a few days ago for a couple of days. I had never seen any this far south before so I was surprised. They're all gone now.
