ok now since i dont know how to post my own question im just posting it as a reply. sorry!
so im going to florida keys diving in october but ill have a few days in miami first. i would really like to buy all my snowboard gear there. main reason: brands like burton,billabong ect. are MUCH cheaper than in europe(mainly switzerland thats where i come from) so does anyone know where i can get snowboard gear like jackets goggles and stuff in miami ????? THAAANK YOU! xxx

This is weird, man! Like why would Miami have snowboard anything? It's totally flat and you have to drive through 447 miles of subtropical wilderness to get there, and that's not counting Georgia, and South Carolina's subtropical wilderness. Whoa! Just, whoa!

The op did say he was from Switzerland, a place well known for snow,mountains and all things skiing so i would guess if he thinks snowboard equipment is cheaper in Miami go for it..

haha im a she yes i think its cheaper cause the brands are usually cheaper inthe us than in europe. for example vans. in switzerland you pay 90$ a pair!!!!

still i think itd be even cheaper in a state with snow. they have to ship all that stuff all the way down here from colder climates.

i know but i think even in not snowy states its cheaper than in switzerland plus the dollar is cheap now too...

This doesn't really help the OP, but I can't see the point of having a snowboard equipment shop in Miami. I'm going to take a wild guess here and say business is not exactly booming.

People in Miami go on vacation too. I looked for a snowboard shop when I first moved there because it was something I love to do and it's good to know that you can take care of things before you leave.

Plus, they probably set up for the very reason that the OP stated: MANY Europeans visit Miami and buy up all kinds of stuff because it is so much cheaper here in the US than there and not everyone is visiting all over the US. I'm sure that business does fine.
