Unless Ron Paul, or Gary Johnson is the nominee, no Republicans. I will not vote for either the elephants or jackasses. Libertarian or no one at all. Vote for the lizard or black Jimmy Carter and you get more of the same failure.

I've been a independent voter for 2 decades now but after Dubya I don't think I will ever vote for the GOP especially with the current circus canidates they have running now. Remember President Obama carried Florida with only 16 counties out of the 67 in the state. If he repeats that feat he will win Florida again.

Definitely Obama, but he's unlikely to win Florida. In 2008 he won nationally by roughly 7.5 points but only 2.8 points in Florida. That's a very poor partisan index for a Democrat in Florida, -4.7. Normally the state differs from the national vote by only 1-2.5 points red.

I don't think Obama can win the national popular vote by 3 points or more in 2012, and that's what it would take -- minimum -- to drag Florida along.

Whoever won in 2008 was certain to have a very tough term, since the economy wasn't close to at bottom. I predicted that on countless sites. It was like being handed the wheel as the iceberg was 20 feet away.

Unless the right track/wrong track number improves at least 10-15 points from where it is now and Obama's approval rating reaches 48-49 minimum, he's a one termer.

After having to do some research on the Republican candidates for a term paper, and the policies that they are going by to fix the economy, I am more swayed to Obama. Ron Paul wants to do more offshore drilling, Terry Mcmillian wants to lower the rent(and nothing else), Buchanann is overtly religious, bringing religion in her campaign a tad bit too much, and wanting to Shrink the government, meaning less government programs. So yeah...

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Too bad we cannot sweep congress as well as replace the president with people not of the two-headed one party system. When you only add a few new faces they become corrupted, like Marco Rubio has.

You cannot add a steak to a toilet full of turds and expect it to be edible. Flush it first.

Well the 2000 election was even closer with Bush winning Florida by 537 votes. Obama carried Florida in 2008 by close to 250,000 votes over McCain.
Which by the way was the largest vote total for him of any Southern state so I wouldn't rely to much on percentages.
You also have to remember the demographics in Florida are changing as the hispanic & black populations have kept increasing in the state and that bodes well for the Dems.

Well I voted "Definitely Republican", but I probably won't go vote unless Ron Paul gets the nomination.

You do realize that there will be third-party candidates on the ballot and that Florida allows for write-ins, at least in the presidential election?

Also, what does the Constitution say? Congress (House of Representatives and Senate) is a co-equal branch of government.

Citizens would be wiser if they read it, and read it again.

The vote for representative and senator, then, is just as important. I believe that a Florida US Senate seat is up for election in November 2012.

Curious is that is in several US House districts in Miami-Dade County there is often only one candidate on the ballot.

All I hope is that people start voting for the individual and not for the party, this is the only way we will change Washington. Things are never black and white (Republican/Democrat), there is always a grey area that most people can agree with. Right now Washington is so divided it makes me sick, these people obviously didn't learn in Kindergarden how to compromise.
