Miami Gardens ranks 13th in the Top 20 most dangerous cities list
For whoever is interested. Considering there are a lot of questions about crime in Miami, I thought this might be useful.
But Miami-Dade County was patrolling the city at the time the data was gathered, if it makes a difference. The list includes cities with populations greater than 75,000 residents so I guess that eliminates Opa Locka from the survey.
Here is the list:
1. New Orleans
2. Camden, N.J.
3. Detroit
4. St. Louis, Mo.
5. Oakland, Calif.
6. Flint, Mich.
7. Gary, Ind.
8. Birmingham, Ala.
9. Richmond, Calif.
10. North Charleston, S.C.
11. Cleveland
12. Baltimore
13. Miami Gardens
14. Memphis, Tenn.
15. Youngstown, Ohio
16. Atlanta
17. Compton, Calif.
18. Orlando
19. Little Rock, Ark.
20. Minneapolis

What a great job Miami Gardens has done! In the few years that it's been incorporated it's managed to make #13. WOW. What a fabulous place to raise a family! NOT!!!!!

Hmm, I wonder what the 'common denominator' for all these wonderful cities might be...

If it didn't get incorporated, it wouldn't be on the list. The area was never great over the past years, but since its its own city now, it shows up on the list.
