After visiting many Miami real estaste websites,I propose that you change the title to...:

" Homes under...500K ..."

Nothing "descent ",in a "good neighbourhood ",not far from the sea ( bay/ocean),costing less than 500K (house +lot)...

If you trade distance for price, then you go to the 250K range...

I don't think a lot of those asking prices are realistic. Either sellers will come down a lot in price, or their property will just sit on the market.

I own property. I'm not crazy about that fact, but I'm realistic.

I check home prices for the past 6 months...

Unless the owner is desperate to sell & cash out, prices are holding steady...

With ...no winters, there is so much demand for Miami locations...

Prices are still high- butits the VALUE of the home that has gone down. People down here can stand to wait and keep the price high because someone retires and sees the price and still wants the house so that they will still pay for it at the price the owner wants.

You might find a Forclosure under $100,000 but thats about it. And it wont be in the best of areas. Houses in Miami are becoming a rare thing since there is no more room to build. It would be very hard to find a home in Miami for Under 100,000 in a safe area even in this horrible market. But now is the time to buy, or maybe in a few more months when the economy really starts to hit its bottom.

There are a few houses I just looked at off of 25th St and 67th Av. They are between 90-150 and they are decent little homes. That isnt in a bad area at all. Do some research- you will find what you need- forget the doubters who have no clue what theyre talking about. I was just in about 12 houses in the area in perfectly safe neighborhoods- within the last week. Do they need a little work- yeah- but for 90k- its worth it.
