I have a job opportunity in Port St. Lucie, FL. I do not know a lot of that place. I am a city person. I would like to live somewhere closer to Miami so that in the weekend, I can drive to the city and have some fun. My questions:
(1) What can be the good places to live between Port St. Lucie and Miami? If I drive from south to the north in the morning, is there a lot of traffic?
(2) As I said, I am a city person. I do not know anybody there. Do you think that area is a good area for a single woman in her early 30s?
Thanks.

You'd probably meet better quality people in Port St. Lucie anyway.

I think you should rent a place in Port St. Lucie for a year, or pretty close to there. This way you are close to your job, and you can get to know the area first. The furthest south I would suggest you live that first year is Palm Beach County. I wouldn't live in Miami and do that commute.

Port St. Lucie is like 2.5 hours away from Miami. It's basically either one or the other.
