Yes, the countries Cuba Libre mentioned have poor educational levels but as immigrants to this city their children are learning English as quickly as anyone else. I agree with Eduardo, the strong Cuban influence and maintenance of Spanish have made it easier to keep Spanish as a useful tongue in this city by all Hispanic groups. Argentines are some of the worst at learning English in this city yet their country is better off than practically all of Latin America. All children of Nicas, Hondurans, Haitians etc, born in, or arriving when young, that I nhave met, speak English.

What makes you think he really worked in a school? You can write anything you want here.

Maybe he just taught BS and believes it.

Please...you talk Non sense BS...

They would assimilate more in USAs culture if Cubans would not have overpopulated Miami. Cubans scared the hell out of the U.S. Americans decades ago...

I think one of your problems is that you are just jealous.

I think the main problem is that most people aren't nearly as intelligent as Cuba Libre. He is truly a master of the English language and knows everything there is to know on it. Not only that but if you have any questions on Cuba or whatever he's a walking encyclopedia on the subject. Cuba Libre, don't blame others for not being as bright as you are. It's beyond our mental capacity.

Your post is very ignorant ... they are not all the same , customs , culture and even race is different ... the only ties that bind are Spanish language and religion ( Catholic ) .

Yes Cuba Libre seems to be a bastion of light and hope in this ever decaying cesspool of ignorance and despair that we call South Florida .. !!!

nope, speaking in general terms they are all exactly alike. they all speak spanish, they all came here and they all want to change here to there, the very situation they fled. they all think their way is better than anyone else's and they all despise each other, claiming that their particular group is superior to the other hispanics. personally I get a great deal of comedic relief listening to them deride each other. it's comedy gold and you can't convince them of the error of their xenophobic and dictatorial bent, they just don't see it. if you want to see a nicaraguan angered ask him if he was guatemalan and that extends to all of them. we are talking about people who's countries went to war over the outcome of a soccer game. thank goodness their kids are assimilating.
