Since 2005, it seems over $2 Billion in faulty claims were filed by many members of Miami's vibrant refugee community. Using 'puppet' or 'on paper' care centers, these foreign thieves were able to make $30,000 - $80,000 multiple times a week in cash from the Federal government... How these newly arrived, semi-citizens could even have access to the system, much less milk it for all it was worth, is beyond me...

"about 60 are fugitives who have fled to Cuba, Latin America and Europe." (wow...the ignorant who wrote this sentence does not know that Cuba is part of Latin America). Besides, they were already in Latin America (Miami).

You're right.
They should pay attention to the trillion dollars scams in their country and forget about Miami.
Why do they care about foreign news?
They are incapable of placing Mexico on the map and they worry about Miami!!!
The scam artists are not called Popoff or something similar, that's why they were prosecuted.

Please elaborate on this opinion. Those who break the law should go down. No wonder our medical system is so expensive.

The article said that MORE THAN 1/3 of all medicare fraud in the U.S. takes place in Florida. Not surprisingly, Miami is the epicenter for most of this illegal activity in Florida.

I have repeatedly said that Miami is a hotbed for these kinds of scams...

There are no semi-citizens, maybe refugees or new residents, let's call things by their name please.

It's funny that after so many years of Medicare fraud, this still happens in S. Florida. You would think someone in the federal government would have this figured out. The only explanation is that they have insiders in the government who are not monitoring these new clinics on purpose. I mean no storefront? C'mon.

1/3 of medicare fraud takes place in FL. Most of this comes from Miami. That's a 600 pound gorilla if I've ever seen one.

Well, some cities love illegal gambling and wh.oremonging, other cities love pyramid schemes that cost trillions to the federal gov't, other cities and ethnic groups create fradulent calificatory agencies and accounting firms that destroy the world economy, other ethnic groups create toxic assets that convert the US in the laughing stock of the world.

And then, you are talking about a few flim-flams that happened to be Cubans that took just a few pennies from a otherwise corrupt system Moderator cut: English Only

Pathetic.

Capital punishment or mandatory life sentences for ANYONE who abuses our healthcare system on the level that these people did. People might have died as a result of these scumbags' actions. Also, I think we should at least think about rescinding some of the generous benefits we offer the oppressed peoples who arrive on our shores.

Just think about how many people died because of denied care due to the money these scumbags stole.
