I think so. The heat has longer horizontal distance to travel to get to the ends of the house. I think my longest trunkline might only be 15' from the furnace because it's just off-center in our house.
Hey, that brings up another question I have, and maybe there's a better thread for this, but what is your rate that you pay?
We have DTE for gas and our rates are:
Gas Distribution Charge: .17013
U-13898 UETME Surcharge (no idea): .005456
Gas Cost Recovery: .75
Or a total rate of .925586 x CCF (cost per cubic feet I'm guessing). From Sept. 13 to Oct. 12 we only used 25 CCF.
