If you end up located in the southern part of Canton, it would just be a straight shot down Michigan Avenue to Dearborn. I used to commute from Dearborn to Farmington Hills and it's no fun. Farmington Hills is quite a bit further north, and there is no good direct route to Dearborn.

There are a few restaurants and Indian grocers on Ford Rd in Canton - especially between say Beck and Sheldon or Lilly.
Sure Michigan Ave gets you closer to Ford HQ, but Ford Rd might be a shorter drive, as Michigan Ave is diagonal.

I do think Plymouth Canton is a decent school. My nephew graduated from there last year and my niece might graduate next year. Not ALOT of Indians at his graduation, but a whole lot more than almost every other district in Michigan (in my graduating class of 125, there were 124 white kids and 1 with a white dad and Filipino mom).

Plymouth Canton is an excellent school, just behind top schools like Northville, Novi, Grosse Ile, etc (or was within the past 5 years)

Mr brother works for Ford. I saw him last night and mentioned this. He said a lot of people from India work at Ford. Most live in Canton.

Westland is not as nice as Canton. Schools are not very good.

BTW. If you live in Canton and have kids, you want to be in the Plymouth Canton school district, NOT Wayne/Westland. If you do nto have kids, you may want to stick with the Wayne Westland school district part of Canton. It will be a lot cheaper (but harder to sell your house when you leave). You will see a big difference in home prices as you move between districts, there is a reason for this.

Hey alphanso,
Where did you end up taking an apartment? I know this is a old thread, but I was thinking you'll be the best person to suggest apartments with most Indian families near to Ford office
