Default Ecorse building codes

The codes are ridiculous. There is no effective differene between an 'S' trap and a 'P' trap in a laundry tub, but the inspector hit it and then fined the owner on a reinspection for not having a 'P' trap. Funny thing; he only wrote the word, 'trap' on the original inspection with no further detail. When questioned about what was wrong, his response was only, 'If you'd gotten a professional plumber, he'd have known the code'. Does anyone know how I can get a copy of the building code without being in that office between 8 & 8:30 AM on Tuesday or Thursday? Is it online or available by fax?

The inspector will be liable for letting things go. Not knowing what you need, I googled the 2 images for your review. I assume you do not have some sort of trap in your plumbing. It should be an easy fix. Good luck!
