Sounds like Suttons Bay to me, one of my favorite towns.
Lots of great shops and places to eat.
Cute beach and great grocery store (Hansens) too for picking up goodies to have a picnic.
It's on the east side of the peninsula, not far from TC.
The west bay would be on your right as you're driving from TC.

Certainly sounds like Suttons Bay - one of my favorite places. I have family in Omena - the next little town north of Suttons. Any place in Leelanau county is marvelous. I live 80 miles away across Lake Michigan in Menominee, MI which is in the Michigan Upper Peninsula.

Nice place.
But I prefer "Fishtown".

The curve in the middle of town says Suttons Bay. Great town...but like YAZ I prefer Fishtown.
