Well with the primarys over will Michigan fall into the Democrat pit one more time? Cause the last time they Voted Democrats into Office all we got was Higher Taxes, and more regulations on Businesses. when will Michigan's residents learn Democrats and Unions are not helping turning this State around. To bad.

You need to replace Gov, Granholm with someone who is more concerned about the people of Michigan doing the jobs instead of Illegal Immigrants.

Hey Flake, there are more Democrats then Republicans so who you gonna blame? they(Republicans) don't Control the House and State Senate now do they? So how is it they are the problem, I would say they are just Gutless when it comes to standing up against the Democrats. And Yes we do need a House Cleaning, but look what happened in the Primary. Kilpatrick got the go head. This say it all

Hey Frank, point of clarification -- Republicans hold 21 seats in the Michigan Senate, Democrats hold 17 seats. The Michigan Republican Party controls the State Senate by 4 votes.

BTW, whatever happened to your political run for office?

I never heard anything about it. Besides no one would listen to what I have to say. I have been told I hurt people's feelings.

Holy hard-right, Batman,
Well, my guess is seeing how the majority of the nation is so utterly disgusted with Bush & his House/Senate Republican pals and the terrible job they have done at running things nationally for the majority of the last 8 years, that the Democrats will indeed achieve greater gains all-around.
However, that said, things are unpredictable in Michigan, due to the rather strident Granholm/Democrat hatred from the right-wing in our State. Wins here will be likely be small at best, either way.

If we elect Republicans, will they try to force everyone in Michigan to become devout Christians or at least to use the law to try to make people live like devout Christians? One of my big concerns is that the Republicans will try to shove their religious insanity down my throat, which may be one reason why DeVos lost.

That having been said, I agree that the Democrats are not helping the state's economy much, not that I have much confidence in the Republicans to do any better. (Look at the job the Republicans did for the nation's economy.)

Well --- Congress controls the budget and it's majority democrats.

I think it's clear that both parties share a whole lot of the blame. Neither party represents the American people.
