My Dad had just been transferred from Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio in 1948 to Camp Hood (now Fort Hood), Texas. Dad was CO of the 42nd Armored Battalion, 2nd Armored Division.

I am the smallest shaver standing in front of the family’s 1941 Buick.
Our quarters were the first floor to the left. No insulation, no A/C of course.
Good times & memories from 74 years ago.
