You'll work with lots of people in your reserve unit and the Wing that have positions in the civilian sector. If you do a good job in the reserve, your unit members (Wingmen) will see this and they will like to see you hired within their civilian organizations (which are always looking for good talent). Also, you'll receive training, certifications, and experience in the Reserve that will add value to you within the civilian workplace. Bottom line is do a good job in the Reserve. You'll advance there and gain great friends and valuable (and deserved) professional contacts as well. The key here is to be dedicated to the Air Force Core Values and do a good job in the AF and good things will follow that.
