Milwaukee City - You state virtually all your neighbors are from Milwaukee and have moved to Mequon? recently. I find this very surprising to say the least. I believe we are two maybe three generations out from urban flight. Most Mequon residents are not recent arrivals from Milwaukee, if they did live in Milwaukee it was during college or when they where in their 20's and doing their young single thing.
What's with all your high drama. Beamer in the hood, garbage leadership, racists and bigots in the suburbs. Man I guess I've been away too long.
Now that this street car system is actually going to get built, has there been any discussion on which city of Milwaukee agency or dept. will be responsible for the operation, management and maintenance of this system? I've asked people that I know who work for the Milwaukee County Transit System and no one there has an answer for this. From the way things look right now, if its the city then they will have to probably set up a whole new transportation department.
We need the street car to compensate for the high speed rail our fumbling Governor turned down and will be running across the country except Wisconsin. We're trying to go back to the 1920s as fast as we can!

I agree that the streetcar is going to benefit the region along with build competition for Milwaukee to compete with other cities but other regional transportation is needed more. Such as expanding the freeway system allowing easy navigation along with a light-rail system.
