I think the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee would fit you fine. Rents are affordable, crime is low, large population of 20 somethings, restaurants, bars, etc. Many of Milwaukee suburbs are good for families and not set up great for young people such as yourself. Look into Bay View, only 10 minutes from Downtown.
