I always hear how nice and clean the Lake is in Chicago...good for swimming and jogging.

Is your segment as developed (for bathing, walking and jogging) as their stretch?

I realize you have festivals on your Lake, but I bet most Americans don't even know or care that Milwaukee has Lake Michigan!

I don't know about bathing, but there's plenty of jogging areas along the lake. Swimming honestly depends on the day, but last I checked, that was the case in Chicago as well.

BTW, I realize there's some quality people in Boston, but I don't think most of America knows or cares that all Bostonians aren't pretentious douchebags who probably wish they were New Yorkers...

The city recently did a "renovation" of the biggest beach, Bradford beach, so its fairly nice, but does get crowded. There's a nice stretch for walking and jogging, as well as paths nearby but not "on" the lake. Veterans Park, the marina, and the art museum are also on the lake. As for swimming, it varies day by day, and the water is cold.

i think mke should add more activities on the lake area not just summerfest grounds

You have to pay to use Evanston's beach, the last I checked.

Isn't that when someone would want to use the Beach? Why would you want to go to the Beach for free in mid-late Sept?

I always felt Milwaukeeans loved the lake as much as Chicagoans. Most places both cities touch the lake is parkland. It's just that Chicago has a much longer lakefront. Milwaukee has better festivals on its lakefront, though, so we're even :-)
