St. Paul #10 in Business Week's Top Ten Cities List

I have spent a lot of time in St. Paul lately. I was there today actually (ran in TC 10 Mile) I really like St. Paul. After growing up in the western suburbs and spenting most of my young adult life venturing into Minneapolis for work, school and play I know that city like it's my home. Only in the past few years have I really begun to venture into St. Paul and take it all in. I would agree with Beenhere4ever in that MPLS tries to compete with cities that aren't as livable. It also seems like Minneapolis as a city seems like its trying to hard to keep up with the Joneses, St. Paul just seems so good at what it does. St. Paul knows its place and identity and strives to keep it great, while Minneapolis seems very comfortable with itself, buts has it's own insecurities.

It's great to know that we have two great cities in our great state. These two towns are gems, and I love them.

I think what a lot of people are calling insecurities within Minneapolis stems, at least in part, from the fact that transplants from other cities tend to gravitate towards Minneapolis when they move here. Thus, they're more apt to compare Minneapolis to those other cities.
