I don't agree with Chik-Fil-A's political/religious positions, but that's not why I won't eat there. I think the food is awful.

When I'm on the West Coast, I go out of my way to eat at In-N-Out Burger. It's not highly publicized, but the owners are evangelicals - look on the bottom rim of your cup, and there's a Bible verse printed there. I have no problem with that - the burgers are the crown jewel of fast food, and the employees and atmosphere are first rate. When it comes to where I eat, I could not care less about the political/religious leanings of the owners - I just want good food.

See, that's the nice thing about living in the USA, you can have an opinion one way or another. If you don't agree with someone's opinion, that is ok too. It's also illegal to hold a gun to someone's head and force them to eat at Chick-fil-a or any other establishment so the op should probably let the police know that someone is forcing them to eat somewhere they don't want to.....

This. I wouldn't eat there even if I liked their politics; I just don't see the appeal of the food.

Speaking of the Chick-fil-A Bowl I found this article from the Huffington Post to be interesting. Shane L. Windmeyer: Dan and Me: My Coming Out as a Friend of Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A It's admirable that both men are willing to listen to the other's story. It also sheds some light on the "20 million" in donations.

It's a good article. Their ability to actually establish a relationship despite having different views is all too rare nowadays and speaks highly of both men. Thanks for sharing.
