Hi, we are contemplating a move to the Minneapolis area. Some things we can research but I thought this might be a good source of general information.
For instance, how much rainfall does the area get per year? Is it a wet or dry cold climate? How much snow? What activities are available for able bodied seniors? What snow activities {is there a tubing hill}? How much rent for a 2/2 apartment?
I may be back with more questions later!
Thanks in advance!

Climate info, take your pick:

https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/climate/.../listings.html

Snow activities available are basically all of them, whatever you prefer and outfit for, especially if willing to drive some (like for downhill skiing).

General activities are basically all imaginable with very few exceptions, mainly place dependent exceptions requiring a desert, a high mountain range, a tropical island or something else unusual.

If you truly live in Williston now (ND), then you might find the Twin Cities to be a little bit warmer.

Yes, there are tubing hills. Precipitation is probably around 30-32 inches on average. Check out NW Crow's websites, or the following.

There are websites that show current snow depths.

If you are an ice hockey fan, there are many rinks in the area for watching youth, high school, and university games. And, the Wild play in St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center.
