And, the is Nice Ride. There are stations all over downtown, uptown, Loring Park, the U campuses, etc. in Minneapolis, plus some in St. Paul. Not road bikes, but they get a ton of use around the U. And they have three-day passes for $10 (you have to secure with a credit card):
