Oh, I realize that, which is why I initially gave a price of what I was willing to pay. You would think, at least, I could have the same features for the much higher price I originally mentioned. Haha.

I'd look at the Stone Arch Apartments at 601 and 701 Main St SE.
Stone Arch Apartments . It's pretty close to the U, but it is not student oriented. It's in a really neat location right on the riverfront. There are plenty of students there, of course, but there's a lot of downtown workers living there as well.
It's close enough to walk to the east bank, but you might rather bike, or walk the two blocks to catch a bus on University, because it's not going to be worth driving most of the time.
