Hey my wife and I are considering St. Paul as a possible destination when we move in the fall this
year. We were both born and raised in the Seattle area and have been living in Portland for nearly the past two years. I'm also looking to complete my degree in accounting once we move. What's everyones thoughts on schools/jobs/the area in general. (Yes we are aware how cold it gets)
Thanks!

If you enjoy Portland, you'll enjoy the Twin Cities. The cultures are very similar (though more so in Minneapolis than St. Paul). School districts are excellent, unemployment is low, there's pretty much something for everyone (unless you MUST see the ocean from time to time, though Lake Superior is...similar).

Well, good news on the job front - unemployment rates in the Mpls/St. Paul area are low.

As far as college... Are you currently enrolled in college where you are now? Are you looking for community college, university? 2-year, 4-year, Masters?

And yes...it does get cold, but our springs, summers and autumns are amazing!

I'm looking to complete my bachelors. I've got almost 2 years of school under my belt but have been taking gen Ed stuff cause I've been planning on a out if region transfer and often the more specified classes won't transfer as easily.

What kind of degree? 4-year? Master's? If you're looking in St. Paul, I'd look at places like Metro State. Hell, even UW-River Falls is only 35 minutes away. Minnesota residents pay in-state tuition in Sconnie. They're very cheap and you could work while going to school and possibly forgo loans. If you can handle a little debt, consider St. Thomas.
