I am moving to area for work. Everything I see in line is over 1k. Any leads on a more affordable place to live. I have one cat, that I am OFF about cleaning litter box and hair. Looking for a one bedroom small house or in an apartment complex. I am 50 years old, and like it quiet.

I live right where Roseville, New Brighton, and St Anthony meet. My step daughter just moved from NE Mpls to a block from us with her two cats into a 6 plex that's $850 per month. She's now saving $6k a year by moving.

That's about or maybe a bit more than my SO paid for her place (with a roommate) a few years ago. I know that people may prefer to live alone, but splitting the cost makes it a lot easier.
