With so many large hotels and casinos in that area, you should do some networking in that industry regardless of the requirements listed in the job postings. They probably overlook some of those experience requirements if they are impressed with an applicant.

Your post suggests you think dictionaries have only one definition. There are levels of definition. Here are just two after the first definition which is that of someone in one of the learned professions with specific standards and on and on....
