Good morning!

I've been in Missoula for 4 years and I am a 25 yr Software Programmer... I've been having the worst 4 years ever trying to look for Professional IT/Software jobs, and this company Edulog/Logisys offered me a position working in their special program software development department.

They told me the position starts at 11$ an hour which made me gag. are they actually serious starting a programmer at 11$ an hour? They promised me a huge raise after the "probation" period is over.

Anyone work here in Missoula and can tell me if this place is as bad as they say or is it a great place to work. My job coaches always tell me Edulogis a great place to get into. but from all these reviews it sounds like a slave camp that will pay for $10hr til you get ill and die...

They've always paid low. I interviewed with them in the 90's as I was graduating and at the time they were paying minimum wage for college hires. They also had the worst interview I have ever had--the two people interviewing me got into an argument during my interview and never asked me questions. I ended up walking out of it.

Maybe if you just need a job, but not as a career.

Looking at those reviews and talking to some of the people that work there via Facebook, I think I agree that what you say in the 90's is still going strong there.

I took a look around the office recently and things looks unsettling, quite a bit of the desks/computer workstations were empty... like they just let a good amount of people go.

The building is in bad shape and it was dripping and buckets everywhere. Everyone seemed very anti-social and unfriendly.

Any Employees out there that have some comments?

I'm not surprised that the starting pay is $11 an hour. Pay in Montana is among the lowest in the nation.

A friend of mine who worked there described it as a sweatshop, which, when I hear about the $11/hr offer, sounds about right.

However, if you've been unable to get a programming job so far, it might not be a bad way to get your foot in the door and get something to put on your resume. Plus then you'll be able to accrue some war stories to tell when you're older.
