My wife and I are getting kinda curious about Missoula as well. Grown so tired of LA/SF people destroying our hometown in Oregon and really need a change from the damp winters. I can take the relentless gray if it's a drier air. I lived in Fairbanks for a couple winters back in my mid-20s so I'm sure the cold is tolerable by comparison! Plus my wife has family in Montana and was nearly born there, so we're thinking of making a couple visits this fall and coming spring to explore the area and feel it out.

I can remember back in 1991 when there was a huge migration of California transplants all headed to Oregon, Washington and Arizona. Now Oregon and Washington are both messed up from that.
