We want to sell our house in Forsyth but do not know where to find that right real estate agent who can tell us truthfully if we have a chance at selling within a year. Our house has 3200 sq. ft. and needs some work.

From what I've seen the best chance to sell in Forsyth is with a recognizable name from that immediate area. The best known name gets the most calls much like a known insurance agent. Call it the peace of mind syndrome. I'd call one of the major sellers in Branson and see who's pushing fishing friendly properties and angle your approach that way.
