We may be moving to the southwest corner of MO. We are looking from Springfield on farther south to the border. We want schools that are great academically and lots of sports opportunities. We are drawn to towns that have a sense of community with lots of things to do.

Does a town stand out in anyone's mind?
Thanks for your time.

depends on what you call alot to do ....there are no bars in marshfield, however we do have a bowling alley, super wal-mart,several dining establishments,a good school that has extraordionary athletes and a good small town atmosphere.we consider that alot.

I have a friend who lives in Nixa, which is maybe 5 minutes south of Springfield.

But I don't know much about it other than that.
