Default Des Arc questions

Hello, I'm looking into moving to the Des Arc area of southern Missouri. Anybody live neer there or have any information about the area?

Welcome to the forum, and potentially to a quite rugged and beautiful part of Missouri. All can say is that its quite secluded [which you most likely already know! ], yet nice area. This is based only on driving on 49 a couple times - not with the focus of moving there. Maybe a tad bit more rustic than Bendersville, Penn.

Some additional info might be useful here:
Iron County Missouri Home Page
Arcadia Valley Missouri Chamber of Commerce, Ironton, Pilot Knob, Arcadia & surrounding MO area businesses

BTW, moniker...

It's very pretty there. The closest town for shopping would be Piedmont which is 12 miles south of Des Arc. You would be centrally located for most of the parks, streams and rivers in the area.
