American democracy cannot survive the losing party refusing to accept defeat. A peaceful transfer of power demands that we all accept the legitimacy of the election, with the losing candidates recognizing their losses and trying to win in the next election.

No bridge for him either.

He can say whatever he likes. Missouri is not a swing state and voters here will reelect him regardless.

But I agree with Senator Sasse. Tinkering with the mechanics of our republic is dangerous. I think Sasse termed it as "playing with fire." Harry Reid is probably the best recent example of a Senator who tinkered, and then it backfired spectacularly.

He DOESN'T live in Mo.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...?ocid=msedgntp

He is constantly railing against “coastal elites” but he isn’t actually a current Missouri resident. Instead, the KC Star discovered that he’s currently using his sister’s house as his legal residence while living with his family in a $1.3 million Virginia mansion. When asked about his lack of an in-state address, he tries to spin the question as an elitist attack. He also used to criticize Claire McCaskill about her “luxury condo in D.C.”

He needs a one way ticket to Russia if he doesn't like democracy.

Missouri is to blame for this. They will reelect this SOB and think he's cute for his little foolish escapade. Mencken said "People deserve the government they get, and they deserve to get it good and hard." Hawley is a national embarrassment and this is an exercise in stupidity and an affront to the constitution and those who sacrificed so dearly for our democracy. Hawley deserves to be censured by the Senate if he persists.

Him, the entire congress, the media, the entertainment industry, and old Joe as well.
Sorry, but they’re all the same.
Democracy doesn’t mean don’t ask questions and just fall in line. That’s what countries like Russia expect.

Why would anyone accept the "legitimacy" of a fraudulent election?

I totally agree. I remember a voter that was interviewed and he claimed it was time for a change. The fool is probably enjoying this.
