My husband and I need to find a place to live near Fort Rucker. We are interested in renting a townhouse with a garage, and heard Dothan is nice. Does anyone have any suggestions?? We need to find a place rather quickly, as we are planning to move mid-October. Any advice is great!

Check the classifed section of city-data and also craigslist.com. There is probably some type of apt guide for the area and it may be online. Plus check this forum for others who have asked about Ft Rucker

I live in Panama City Beach, which is about 2 hours from Ft. Rucker. Back when I was stationed at Ft. Rucker, Daleville was a nice place to live but now it's so overcrowded. Enterprise, Ozark or if you like living out in the country, about 30 or 45 minutes south of Ft. Rucker is nice.
I hate to even drive through Dothan. It's just one big circle of traffic, malls and strip malls.
