I would NOT suggest using Mobile, AL Crime Map - Showing Crimes in Mobile - Crime Statistics, Alerts and Reports - Crime Stops Here - It doesn't show everything like it should.

Here is what you should use instead http://gotbustedmobile.com/

The largest percentage drop was in reported homicides. By Feb. 28, 2012, nine homicides had been investigated by police while only three were reported by Feb. 28, 2013.
I find this very hard to believe. You mean to tell me that so far this year (2013) there have only been 3 murders?

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't there a few that happened the first week of the year... there have also been a few USA students murdered... and a few in downtown.

That report was from Jan 1 to Feb 28, released 2 weeks ago, and yes, those are accurate numbers.

No USA students were murdered, and there was one murder in north downtown.

I mean, that's great, and hopefully the drop continues, but we're talking a two month comparison here.

There was a student killed on campus October of last year, but charges were dismissed. I don't recall any incidents this year on campus.

Most murders are committed by people who know their victim. Don't hang around the wrong types of people and you'll have nothing to worry about.
