Mobile County's growth has really slowed. I can see Madison passing Mobile before 2030.

I wonder if Stimpson was waiting for this Census Estimate or the actual one this May before releasing the annexation plans. Its clear that a lot of that 1.7k loss will come from Mobile, I'm willing to bet it will be more like 3 to 4k. If Mobile wants to reach 210k, they are gonna need to annex at least 25k.... that's roughly the size of Fairhope.

I don't think we loss I actually think it's a slight gain as far as County numbers.

Mobile County.... unfortunately I expect to see the county either stagnant or losing population.

Washington County.... I see it shrinking some more.
Baldwin ended up being 239, 000
Mobile is 413,000
Madison is 395,211

Daphne being at 60K in 20 years wouldnt be a stretch if they managed growth well, but they dont.

most of Belforest is still unincorporated , but I dont expect that to continue with The Reserve

700 Lot subdivision in Belforest that weaves through 5 others. It wouldnt really make sense for Daphne to only annex it, and not the surrounding subdivisions.

You know, I’m really curious as to why Jack’s hasn’t introduced themselves into the Mobile market. It’s really weird, they’re littered every where around the state…. And I’m talking EVERYWHERE. Pretty much every small town between Tuscaloosa and Mobile has a Jack’s now (granted most of these are new). They even have dozens in the neighboring states: Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia. Jack’s has restaurants just miles away from the Mobile Metro area with one in Jackson and one in Atmore.
