We are thinking of having a new home built by Adams Homes in Lakeland subdivision. Does anyone have any opinions or thoughts about this builder and/or the subdivision. Thanks!

Well after riding the roads and checking out subdivisions from Foley to Spanish Fort we decided to do a contract on a new home in Lakeland subdivision in Loxley. The prices are reasonable and the location is good. It kind of has a rural feel, but it's centrally located with easy rides to the gulf, the bay, and I10 to Mobile or Pensacola. Ready to put Atlanta in the rear view mirror and won't look back.

Can't say I blame you.

Spider,
We are considering an adams home in foley, I was trying to figure out how to send you a pm top ask how you like it. I haven't posted much to this forum so not sure if I will find it. So I'm posting it here. Thanks for amy info. We drove around and looked at several of their communities and would love to hear what you think. Thanks!

I'd say overall we're pretty happy with our house. I just wish we would of held off for a year because the prices have dropped. I still think we got a very nice house for what we paid about 2 years ago. No major problems, just a few little things. Good luck, you'll definetly be getting a very good house for the price.

This may be too late to help your decision making, but we bought an Adams home in the Aspen Creek subdivision, just on the edge of Foley. I would say that overall, you can't go wrong with them. This is our ninth house (and last I hope!), and the experience with then was as good or better than the others. They will correct anything found during your inspection before closing, and then reinspect with you to confirm your satisfaction. Things may come up that inspections don't uncover (we had rocking toilets), and they work with you to get the contractor back to fix it. We've been here since Oct. 2010, and we're loving it. The quality of construction is very good (although my last house was built by a private contractor and felt a little more "solid").
