I would like to work in West Yellowstone or Bozeman for the summer. I am a Senior and could start as early as May and work through October. I am a college graduate, majored and worked in computer programming, but will take any not-physically-exhausting job.

So what is your question? This is not a job search forum, but rather a forum to discuss relocation or moving.

Are you looking for an apartment, if so where? Are you looking to move to any particular area in Bozeman. Do you like to socialize, hang out with same age people, what types of bars or music are you looking for etc???

You would like to work in West Yellowstone or Bozeman? OK, maybe this would be a good start to your search of employment: Montana Workforce Informer, Labor Market Info

Good luck!

Elkhunter, the reason I asked about jobs is that I couldn't afford to "just come out there and stay awhile" without some income. I am familiar with both West yellowstone and Bozeman, which is what I asked about, but would work anywhere. I like classical music best, country music least. I have 3 small dogs and generally don't hang out in bars, but do enjoy doing that occasionally. I love the outdoors above all else.

Thanks so much for your info. I went to the site and it really is cool! I'm so sorry about your dog. I lost my big (105 lb Labradoodle) dog 2 sep't's ago, so know how it hurts.

Yellowstone has a lot of seasonal employment as to motels, restaurants, etc for the tourist season. The trouble is that Yellowstone and working in the park, those seasonal positions are prime and most folks either go year after year and are invited back, or new folks have got their applications in a year in advance. But you might get lucky.

Here is a site for national parks

Here is a site for cabin rentals. Don't know what the max stay is.

Bozeman has a nice little tech/software boom going on right now so you're in luck.
