WHITEFISH... whats this about? (college, moving, vacation)

So I met some people from Whitefish, MT and they seemed like really cool people, but I got confused when they were trying to explain to me what kind of place WHITEFISH is. What type of place is Whitefish...

...a place to go and visit on a vacation and ski?
...a place for mllionares to retire?
...or a place where college kids go to have a good time?

Or all of the above sprinkled with a bit of small town attitude, logging and lumber community types. Plus good fishing and boating on one of Montana's largest lakes. Whitefish is a mixure of a lot of differant lifestyles that you find throughout Montana.
