Good or bad, today is the day. I'm better you are up and giving the nurses a ration of hell. Am I right?

I think he's going in Dec 6th, this Friday.

(However depending on the attendant nurses looks, I'd possibly head in a few days earlier! )

Hey Tip, you are absolutely correct...........Back in November of 1991 the game warden that checked out the kill-site for the grizzly I got on Kodiak, said the going rate for a Kodiak grizzly (brown bear)gall bladder was $5000. The Orientals were a real problem with regard to going in after dark to a kill site and taking out the gall bladder.

In addition to the skull and the hide, the guide removed the "bone". (about five inches long and about one half inch in dia) that is encased inside the bear's penis.. Really no kidding, I have it mounted with the skull on an Oaken plaque.

Crazy world we live in, huh?.......Ketch ya later.

.....Heart......: Thanks very much for your thoughts. Yes, every thing went pretty well. started about 11;30am yesterday and was completed about 2:50 pm. Some minor complications related to the one incision that is made at the bottom end of the sternum (old trauma area where 7 ribs were broken many years ago).........and the belly button incision is larger than normal due to the Gall Bladder being about 30% larger than normal. I'm being discharged today and will be at my daughters for a few days. While looking around in there.....he observed a hernia in the large intestine (in the area of the diverticulosus that I've had for years,) that will have to be addressed later. The ever present condition of IBS+C has somewhat complicated the over all situation also.

All things considered I'm a lucky guy:.... (age, previous severe trauma to many parts of my body (17 fractures) in that double fatality auto accident I was a passenger in many years ago, and my Cancer Surgery for Prostate and Bladder) ......yea maybe I'm good for a few more years

Thanks...................Griz
