I relocated from Orlando, FL to Billings, MT two months ago. I started a new job that I love and I like the area....but where does one meet people here? I have been struggling meeting people outside of work to do things with.

Beyond the typical answers of meetups, churches, bars and community volunteer organizations, it might help to know what kinds of things you like to do or are willing to do to meet people.

Look to what you like to do, hobbies, sports, and go from there.

There's enough people and events and clubs in Billings there's pretty much something for everybody.
I for one like some of the special events at the metra like the NILE show or the SHOT show. The fair is a good place to meet people in a relaxed setting too.

Not a fan of Billings, but I've met some great people just shopping at Scheels. Go in to look at camping, fishing or hunting supplies, strike up a conversation with a clerk or another customer, you're off and running.

In any case, there are pubs and cafes in the city where there are a lot of people. There are also concert halls or clubs. Or is it all extinct there and you are alone?)

Meet ups and bars are about it. If you're over 60 clubs and church. This goes for virtually any city. The problem these days is people seem to move back to their home towns and then hang out with their old high school friends. It's certainly a challenge meeting people.
