I love thunder storms. I remember coming home from work oneday when I worked
in Missoula. I looked toward the Westrn horizon and saw a big green cloud and thought uhoh. I went into the grocery store. The storm moved in while I was shopping. It was dark as night gale force winds and rain. Then hail. No one left
the store until it was over. Much property was damaged by the hail and there reports of funnel clouds, one of the wildest storms i'd ever seen

Pretty cool pictures. Living in Colorado, you can see storms for miles. One thing, I remember back in July of 1993, a friend and I traveled to Montana and went through some pretty cool storms. At the time, my residence was in Indiana and never lived in the American West yet. We stopped for gas in Billings and it was pretty warm. We went through a storm between Billings and Bozeman, got to Big Sky and it was pretty chilly outside. It was in the 40's. I was in shorts and t-shirt. I called a friend back in Indiana and it was in the 90's. I moved West two years later when I relocated to Colorado. Been here ever since and hope to remain even with my job situation.

Me too. Nothing cooler than watching one ... from a safe place I like to sit on the porch and watch the rain and the lightning.

My dogs like 'em too. Lots of stuff blowing past to chase, and they think the thunder is gunfire, therefore wonderful -- well, they ARE bird dogs
