Thanks for everyones replies, it makes me even more sure that we are making a great decision for our lives.
Big step for us.. We have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and my one dog gets sick just going down the road, so this move is gonna be super challenging.

This company is still keeping in contact with hubby and they have emailed pics back and forth and hubby sent him some info on us..
I am still kinda in aww about how they want to fly us out if all the references and paper work work out. I would have thought they would have us fly just him out on our watch/funds. But hey we will take it!!

I thinks as well as things are going I had better start looking at rentals and what we are gonna move and what not, get a moving company or sell everything?????? Alot to figure out, hopeful he gives us some time to make good decisions and not rash ones just to hurry and get there...

I am ready for snow...

Well hubby is doing some reference checking, this company gave him some names and numbers and to call, some of the employees and other companies that they get supplies from to make sure they are finacially sound, they have won awards, and have been in buisness for 65 years.
They have been staying in contact by e-mail and are planning on talking again the end of the week or weekend..

Someone pinch me I think I am dreaming.

Awesome! I'm super excited for you guys!!! LOL re: the dog getting sick. Thank God ours loves a good road trip as much as we do- he's done the Alaska highway four times! As for selling everything, we did that when we moved to Alaska both times. We only took what fit in the back of the truck camper, and those were items that were absolutely necessary or one's with sentimental value like pics etc. However, since you guys won't be going as far as AK, you may not have to sell off everything. I guess it depends on the cost of getting all your stuff there vs re-buying it when you get there. Will your hubby's new job offer moving expenses? That may help with your decision.

I am not sure yet but the yearly starting pay is really good and we will do what ever it takes to get out thier.
This company called again tonight and had talked to all of hubbys contacts and told a couple of them, he will do what ever he can to get my hubby to work for them, cause he was super impressed with hubby.
I bet Alaska is unreal. The pics on here and movies, magazines I'm sure don't do it justice.
Why did you guys leave Alaska??
Hopefully if this company wants the hubby that bad that they will offer some help with relocation costs..They really have discussed legistics on that basis yet, just an idea of what yearly pay would be, and lets just say its 25,000 more a yr than he is making now, and way better benefits.
Next is the true interview which I believe will be set up pretty soon, but am confident that hubby will surpass that also..
Good luck with the toe crossing there rickers, I really can't do that either, I kinda understand about the gout thing, I have RA, at the ripe old age of 31 when diagnosed and now 39, so nothing crosses like it use to. lol But I do well with it, and its a milder case. Good days and bad days if ya know what I mean...
Thanks everyone for all the support, sure helps with many questions, and just hanging out is great to!!!!!!

The first time we left AK was because my stepdad was really sick/dying. The next time was because my hubby was lured up there for a job and got nothing he was promised...that and the expense. It's extremely expensive up there, especially in the bush where we were. AK is an awesome place though! Glad you're "hanging out" here too! Continued good luck to ya!
