I couldn't agree more. I live in a development of about 150 homes and they clear cut everything. The oldest house here is only 5 years old so no one has any vegetation. We took our summer vacation in Hilton Head Island, SC where they do the exact opposite and leave all the nice 100 year old trees everywhere. Here is a pic the walmart parking lot. Everything is like required to leave them I believe. Imagine if Morgantown started implementing this...

I went to a Walmart similar to that near Richmond, VA.....it was pretty neat, I like urban sprawl but it was cool to see a best of both worlds type of thing goin on....
