Mine (sadly enough) dates all the way back to 1996. I had just won some money on a game show, and since I was unemployed anyway, I bought a slightly used ST1100 and did this:

http://goo.gl/maps/BZNoX

It was just about 4000 miles from LA to Austin and back, via some of the most incredible scenery you can imagine. I took in Big Bend, Santa Fe, Mesa Verde, the parks along Utah Highway 12, and Monument and Death Valleys.

Of course I would have been much better off spending that money on Apple stock, but I'm still glad I went.

San Diego to Monterey via Pacific Coast Highway back in 2012 to watch the MotoGP race. Epic trip, great roads, great buds, great times.

I love you too!

Oh wait.

I've been up and down Highway 1 many times. In fact I've been to every county in California on my current motorcyle. I can't imagine a better place to be a rider.

Germany - Turkey. Took forever because my dad drove.

VA - Atlanta - Jackson - Memphis (tire exploded there) - Dallas - Nashville -Phoenix - Palm Springs - LA - Ventura County seemed much more relaxed.

All in one week, during snow season in Feb. 2010.

2 people, one big dog and in a GTI with sport transmission (Trip was followed by bad back pain)

I guess I should have specified "motorcycle ride," but that must have been a rough trip anyway!

Whoops. Sorry.

Don't take long trips on my bike. I got a supermoto. Going from Oxnard to Malibu feels almost too far already

The first bike that I bought myself was a Montessa Motocross 250 in 1972. Very quick!!! Until it bounced down a mountain in Colorado, that is.
